Hari Om Blessed Selves,

Have attached a flyer for the Meditation Chant Evening in Byron on Thursday December 13th @ 6.30 - 9pm.

Everyone is invited.  Kirtan is chanting of mantras to music that uplifts the soul, releases deep phobias, tensions, opens the heart, directs the emotions and bypasses the mind. It can be quite an ecstatic state of meditation. 

There will be a short meditation to begin and end the programme with the chanting of a universal mantra to begin.

Vocal toning exercises to warm up the voice, a raga, rhythm and song in the form of kirtan. Kirtan is a Yoga, the Yoga of the feelings.

For beginners to experienced. All ages.

$20 for the evening. Bring a cushion and shawl if cool.

If you could let me know or even book a place that would be great.

Hari Om Everyone,

The days have been beautiful filled with blue skies, light fluffy clouds that seem to drift into unimaginable shapes that dance upon our north coast expanding skies.

We are blessed.

However, things are speeding up in the universe, maybe your life seems to be the same whether at work, home, family things are moving. In this time it is important to stay focused in whatever you are doing. Dont follow the mind chatter or the darting emotions, be in the moment, mindfulness in the moment even if it may seem a bit boring. Its all good.

Meditation, Yoga all help to release tensions not only from the body but especially from the mind. Calm down that mind, dont go off half baked at anyone, not even the dog. Take a few deep breathes, and no that this too will pass, everything is changeable.

I have moved to Alstonville. Yes, Alstonville, just a dash up from the coast, on the high plateau with this beautiful red soil that seems to grow anything. Alstonville is a sub tropical area so I am growing lots of food. Vegies garden, fruit trees, paw paws they all seem to love it here. And the cute little village that is now become quite trendy and busy.

I will be having classes and course in meditation and yoga that will begin the week of 27th November.

Gift Vouchers for christmas are a great way to start your friends or family on the path of wellbeing. You can choose from a course, private session or classes.

Kirtan Evening in Byron @ Thursday evening 6.30 -8.30pm $20. This will be a two hour programme of chanting of mantras, vocal toning, rhythm and kirtan that is chanting of mantras to music is a fantastic way to help re direct our emotions into devotion where we just sing and sing. So relaxing and uplifting for the soul. All ages welcome.

Meditation Evening for Beginners to experienced meditators - Tuesday evenings 6.30 pm @$20. Learn to meditate, calm that mind, release mental tensions. Just chill out for a while and leave the stresses of life behind. You seem to get a better perspective on things and make better choices. Give it a go.

More upcoming events

Hari Om,

Here we are into Spring with warm days and cool nights and loads of flowers blooming everywhere.

Gratitude is a wonderful thing. It makes a realize that the small things matter and also that to remember there is a bigger picture.

This helps us to understand our challenges and open up to new possibilities.

I am offering two new 2 hr Meditation Sessions. Please see attachment 

One is a group meditation.Thursday 20th Sept. In this we will explore chanting, mantra and healing for us and the world.

This is a powerful way to change energies and awareness and help humanity align with more positive, creative, peaceful ways of dealing with life.

Second is a Havan/Yajna.Saturday 22nd Sept. A fire ritual, with mantra, offerings, music. All are welcome at this session, that includes children.

NAMASTE EVERYONE

How are you. Handling the many change that are taking place in your life whatever scenario it may be!

Well hold on everyone, there is more to come. With these solar flares hitting the planet, thank goodness our beautiful small planet has this energy force field that counters the suns flares or we would be frazzled. Apparently it happens every so many years, so quite a normal event. However it can affect the personality of a human and often create changes in weather patterns, earth movements, etc.

For us humans we can experience a scattered mind, excess worrying about old hurts, habits, etc or feeling unfocused and confused about life's path, physical symptoms such as swirling stomach, headaches, depressed feelings, too much energy, spaceness, overactive mind, tiredness. 

How to be less effected is to remain focused, don't panic, there is a bigger picture and be grateful. Just get our of your mind. Practice meditation or a relaxation activity daily. Don't believe your mind and the thoughts. Everything is not the same. Everything is moving fast and we have to move with it. 

When you ride a wave on the ocean in surfing. You don't panic. You have the skills, the tools and when it comes you go with it, riding it, moving with it. Sometimes you fall off but on you get again, cause when you flow with the energy of the wave, it is an amazing feeling. 

Set aside at least 30 minutes daily for meditation. Go into a quiet, still room, sit or lie down comfortably. Use a CD or just close your eyes and become still. Release yourself from the state of discomfort, dissatisfaction and discontent, let go of all worldy wants and needs, responsibilities or worries. Let it all flow out of the body. Out of the mind.

Search for some inner calmness either at the heart centre, or eyebrow centre. Stay there, be still.  Even if your mind wanders, bring it back to stillness. You can use the breath to focus, a mantra, symbol.

If you do this daily or on a regular basis you will definitely find an amazing change in the way you act, view and relate to the world around you. You will begin to learn how your mind works and direct it to make better choices, ones that are filled with love, peace, contentment, happiness, cause thats what we all really want. 

Its attainable. One path of yoga is the yoga of equanimity, samatvam, it is the yoga of peace, contentment, equanimity and balance of mind, it a vital need for everyone. Anyone trying to live a fulfilling life must know how to maintain equanimity under all circumstances and be able to sustain calmness. Like accepting life as it is given and knowing how to utilize every moment of existence as a means to evolve one's consciousness. In other words, get rid of our limited thinking processes, get rid of the war-like mentality that has plagued humanity for centuries. Think, happiness, act in a happy way, be joyful, grateful, kind,  see the silver lining on the horizons, take the opportunities, make it happen.

One Day Meditation Retreat

The One Day Meditation Retreat is on Saturday 18th August @ 9.30 -5pm @ $100 with vegetarian food provided.

Also I will be doing a Music Gig at the Ballina Beach Village, Sth Ballina on Sunday 12 -2pm @ 12th August and 26th August. This will include a vegetarian lunch and can be booked through the above or contact me. This will be a monthly event.
